A Tribute to the Leights

The Pawling Democratic Committee will honor Carol and Perry Leight at the November 4th Chocolate Madness fundraiser.  The Holmes couple became Pawling’s first Democratic committee members in 1964, representing their home District 3.  They’ve remained active Democrats since that time and are current members of New York State’s Democratic Committee.  When asked what it was like being a Democrat way back when, Perry quipped:  “It was tough.  You couldn’t say anything – you couldn’t find anyone to back you up.”  Well, things are changing, Perry.  With many thanks to you and Carol for all the work you’ve done on behalf of Democrats in Pawling and New York State.
