The Town Planning Board Meeting – 9/6/05 7:00PM

For consideration:

52 Luxury Houses ($800K - $1.1mil) on West Dover Road on a property abutting the Appalachian Trail and the horse farm.  This project seems to be nearing final approval.  However, they’re still discussing drainage of wetlands.  Also of great concern to the constituents is the impact of so many high-end houses on the Pawling district schools.

Echo Properties improvement of Agway.  The owners of the property are requesting a special use permit to split the existing building into 5 units, 4 of 3,500 sq. ft. each, and the remainder left intact, probably with Agway as the tenant.  The façade will be modified to give the property a unified look with the existing Hannaford’s façade, and the layout of the parking are in front of both buildings would be redesigned, and the lot repaired, with new lighting.

2 to 5  houses on South Quaker Ridge and Tower Ridge Road.  This project is in its’ initial stage, the planning board sent the applicants back to redesign their presentation of their proposal.

9 Houses of 292 in a quarry above Whaley Lake Dam.  Layout of the houses is yet to be determined.  It is believed the planning board will be walking the site this weekend.
