Two Republican and two Democratic committee members represent each of Pawling’s six election districts.

Your Democratic representatives are:

District 4 -  Noel Ortega, Susan Raymond
District 5 -  Reed Asher, Janet Couch

If you don’t know the number of your election district, you can check it out on the voting district maps at Village Hall or Town Hall.

We invite Democrats and supporters of the Democratic Party to attend our committee meetings that are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM in the Lathrop Center at Lakeside Park.

·      A Voter Registration Form may be obtained by visiting any county board of elections office, post office, department of motor vehicles office, or by calling the Dutchess County Board of Elections at 845-486-2473

·      Pawling was named after Colonel Henry Beekman’s daughter, Catherine Pawling, also know as Widow Pawling.

·      According to the 2000 Census that the population of Dutchess County is 280,150 and the population of Pawling increased by 35% in the last five years from 5,288 to 8,026

·      As a resident of Village of Pawling that you are entitled to vote in both Village and Town Elections, however as a resident of the Town of Pawling you are ONLY entitled to vote in Town Elections.

·      As a resident of the Town of Pawling you can attend both Town and Village Meetings.

Pawling Town Board meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 p.m.

Village Board meets 1st Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
